Individual Adult Therapy
A steady, confidential hour to slow down, sort out what’s actually going on, and work out what would help. You don’t need to be in crisis to come — “something feels off” is a perfectly good reason.

You don’t need the right words to start
Most people arrive with something closer to a feeling than a diagnosis. If any of these sound close, that’s enough.
“Life feels like too much right now.”
“I’m always putting everyone else first.”
“I’m burnt out and running on empty.”
“I keep landing in the same patterns.”
“I’m navigating a big life change.”
“I don’t quite feel like myself.”
How the work actually goes
Room to think out loud
The first session is mostly getting to know each other — what brought you in, what you’re hoping for, and any background that matters. You decide what you’re ready to talk about.
Making sense of the pattern
Rather than managing symptoms in isolation, we look at what keeps bringing you back to the same place, and what’s underneath it.
Tools that survive real life
Strategies drawn from CBT and ACT, adapted to your circumstances — not techniques that only work in a quiet room.
Steadier footing over time
Clearer thinking about what’s going on. More self-compassion, less self-criticism. Boundaries that feel possible to keep.
The things people ask first
Do I need a referral or a diagnosis?
No. Therapy doesn’t require a crisis, a referral or a diagnosis. Many people come simply because something feels stuck and they want time set aside to work out what would help.
Is online as effective as in person?
For adults, research consistently finds virtual counselling effective. Online sessions are available to anyone located in British Columbia, and many people find the familiarity of their own space makes it easier to open up.
Can we work in Cantonese or Mandarin?
Yes. Sessions run in English, Cantonese or Mandarin, and you’re welcome to move between languages within a session. Often the words for something difficult only exist in one of them.
What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t help?
That’s worth bringing to the consultation. Knowing what didn’t work — the approach, the pace, the fit — is genuinely useful information, and it shapes how we’d start.
What is Walk & Talk counselling?
An individual session combined with gentle outdoor walking at a location agreed in advance. Some people think more freely side by side than face to face. Same 50 minutes, same fee.
Just a conversation.
Thirty minutes by phone, at no cost, to work out whether this is the right fit.
